![]() I got to say though, no matter what, when designing your character, GIVE HIM DOMINATE. normal difficulty? I know for sure it ain't that the AI gets smarter, so I'm assuming the cheating just gets more egregious. I was trying to fend them off and slowly take one city at a time, but it basically just came down to my two heroes and whatever handful of units I could produce between battles, and once they started landing several nature elementals per turn on my beaches, it was too much.Īnybody know what actual gameplay changes happen on Hard vs. ![]() Then when I killed the hobbit leader, that left the elves with about 80% of the map occupied by neutrals for them to help themselves to. Although that was partly because the orcs were supposed to be my allies on the other side of the map, but they sent their leader out into the elven borderlands all by himself, so no surprise a huge army of elves showed up and that was that. I'm actually having to crank it down to Normal difficulty for the third level in the evil campaign. I seriously underestimated those bastards in the past. My leader, with 8 defense, keeps getting two-shotted by Halfling Eagle Riders. You get HALF as many points for carrying items/units between scenarios in campaign mode, and I swear all your units are less likely to hit and more likely to be hit, and more likely to take damage. You know that's the first thing I tried.Īlso, hard difficulty is HARD. Is this some kind of bug that should be fixed? And no, my guys can't do the same. It doesn't become a problem as often as you might think, but when it does (such as when they attack a city with a battering ram and a bunch of ballistas) it becomes a serious game breaker. Still awesome, although the computer's bullshit trick of firing through walls is getting on my nerves.
